Hello, I'm Amanda!
Welcome to my blog! Please feel free to comment. I love hearing what you have to say!
Look not through the eyes of a human, but through the eyes of God.
Impossible is not a word. It's just an excuse not to try.

Words I would say

Tragedy can hit just about any time. You wonder why, scream, cry, then comes the doubt that God really cares. You might feel week, feel like giving up and think things might be better if it all ended.

1 Samuel 31:3-4
The fighting grew very fierce around Saul, and the Philistine archers caught up with him and wounded him severely. Saul groaned to his armor bearer, "Take your sward and kill me before these pagan Philistines run me through and humiliate me." But his armor bearer was afraid and would not do it. So Saul took his won sword and fell on it.

When nearing death, we respond to God the same way we have been responding all along. Facing death only shows us how we really are. You can't take matters into your own hands. Saul did and look what happened. He took his own life, giving into humanity without even talking with God, or asking him for his guidance with his dilemma. You have to have the courage to follow God's law above human commands! Think about it. How do you want to face death? You have to start living that way right now. It's never too late ya know! Believers' are not supposed to fear death. For God has a great promise to all believers.
Whether it be death, health problem, or whatever your dilemma, you have be strong in the Lord! You can never give up hope! God loves us. He is there no matter what you think. We may not understand why he has brought grief upon us, but just pray for peace in your heart. Trust that he has a plan for you and your life. God is there, he is just at peace because he already knows what is going to happen. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega! Like I've said before, God lets things happen to see who you are going to turn to. God wants us to come to him broken. He wants us to say "Lord I need you. I cannot do this without you." Thank God for your blessings and ask for strength and his guidance that only He can give!

Here is a song that really spoke to me. I think it's acceptable to what I blogged about today!

Sidewalk Prophets - The Words I Would Say
From the album These Simple Truths

Three in the morning, and I'm still awake
So I picked up a pen and a page
And I started writing just what I'd say
If we were face to face
I'd tell you just what you mean to me
Tell you these simple truths

Chorus
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope
You're gonna do great things
I already know God's got His hand on You
So don't live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don't forget why you're here
Take your time and pray
These are the words I would say

Last time we spoke you said you were hurting
And I felt your pain in my heart
I want to tell you that I keep on praying
Love will find you where you are
I know 'cause I've already been there
So please hear these simple truths

Chorus

Say from one simple life to another
I will say come find peace in the Father
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope

You're gonna do great things I already know
God's got His hand on You
So don't live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don't forget why you're here
Take your time and pray
And thank God for each day
His love will find a way
These are the words I would say
